Carine Neutjens (Mechelen, B, 1956) came into contact with glass by chance.  In her family it was very important to develop a career.  She studied ballet at the Conservatory in Mechelen, did a specialization in modern languages in De Ham, worked as a stewardess for Sabena and finally ended up in advertising.  In 1995 she took the decision to  enrol for simultaneous studies in Ceramics and Sculpture at the Academies of Mechelen and Lier.orn in USA, 1973
